No good today but at least I backed a non-runner so 1.5pts returned there! On reflection not particularly keen on the Lingfield card tomorrow so I thought I'd take a look at the 20-runner Epsom dash (15:45) instead. Nice easy race! Earlier I decided to have a bet on Barnet Fair but as it was shortly after 20:00 I quickly realised I'd been Pricewised! Best price as I write is only 11/1 but most bookmakers should revert to their original prices in the morning for a short window of opportunity. A few firms, including William Hill, were going 14/1 so I'm going to take that at 8:30 with WH if it's available. My bets will be:
15:45E 2pts win Barnet Fair @ 14/1* William Hill BOG
15:45E 1pt ew Silvanus @ 16/1 Paddy Power BOG (1/4 odds 1,2,3,4,5)
As I write, bet365, skybet, PP and Ladbrokes are all offering ew betting first five places which is a concession worth considering particularly if the firm is best price/equal best price.
* 14/1 will only be booked if available/backed with WH at 8:30 Saturday. If not available will be booked at 12/1 which should generally be on offer around 9am. Good luck trying to get on if you decide to play.
Later on Saturday we have an interest in the football with 28/1 Juventus in action. Well it might be interesting for about 20 minutes before Messi scores!
